BitSized

Terms of Service

Last updated: October 14, 2026

By using BitSized you agree to these terms. The site provides free, browser-based utilities (including a video compressor and a Bits/USD calculator) along with editorial content. The tools are provided as-is: you use them at your own discretion, and you are responsible for the files you process and for verifying that any output meets your needs before you rely on it.

Acceptable use: don't attempt to break the site, overload it, scrape it abusively, or use it to process content you have no right to process (e.g., media you're not licensed to use). Don't remove watermarks or rights-management from third-party content using our tools — we provide compression, not rights laundering. Automated abuse of the site may be blocked at the infrastructure level.

Intellectual property: the BitSized name, design, and original written content are ours; platform names and trademarks referenced (Discord, Twitch, and logos) belong to their respective owners, and this site is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by them. Compression itself uses open-source WebAssembly builds of FFmpeg under their respective licenses (LGPL/GPL components as applicable); those licenses, not these terms, govern that code.

Calculators and content: tool outputs (target-size calculations, Bits conversions) are estimates based on documented, dated platform facts; platforms change their rules and prices, and we re-verify regularly but cannot guarantee a number is current at the moment you read it. Financial figures are informational only and are not financial advice.

Warranty and liability: the site and tools are provided without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. To the maximum extent permitted by law, BitSized is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages — including lost clips, lost time, or a stream that went live without its highlight reel — arising from use of the site. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

Changes and governing terms: we may update these terms as the site evolves; the date above changes when we do, and continued use after changes means acceptance. If any provision is unenforceable, the rest remain in force.
